I want to take the opportunity to give you a progress update from last week regarding shipping delays and out of stock rates. We continue to have challenges with our recent automation implementation and the unprecedented demand for our products.
While we are not where we want to be, we did make progress the past week increasing in-stock rates, particularly on other manufacturers’ brands, and reducing the backlog of orders. We hope to be back to our normal processing lead times within the next 7 days.
In an effort to catch up, we are expanding our operations and distribution staff and bringing in office personnel to help process orders. We have expanded to a seven-day workweek and invested in automation processes. All of these efforts have increased our capacity 50% over last year at this time, with the goal of increasing capacity another 25% over the next four weeks.
We are have a few challenges with our new automation system in providing up to date and accurate inventory information on the wholesale website. Our team is working diligently to address this issue, and we will provide an update in the coming days.
I apologize for the ongoing issues, and appreciate your patience and understanding as we try to get back to the service levels you expect from GO Steampunk. I’ll be sure to keep you updated on our progress.
We are proud to offer the services of premier shipping services including but not limited to; UPS, FedEx, DHL, ePacket, and USPS.
All orders have a processing time of one to three days, plus shipping time.
Shipping time frames
Shipping time frames are extended within the US, and the rest of the world due to the carriers being backlogged. We are working daily with our shipping providers to continuously monitor timelines and optimize as best as possible. Here is what we are currently observing:
- Increases in overall shipping times domestic and international.
- Many international orders are currently being shipped via sea vs air.
- International orders may have limited tracking as they pass through customs and transfer to local shipping providers.
- Delays may occur in estimated delivery dates.
- Some USPS orders have a 2-3 day during sorting.

*If the tracking on your international order seems to be stuck, please allow up to 10 additional business days for delivery. These orders do not have door-to-door tracking updates sometimes, and in most countries, the customs clearance procedures may take longer than usual. We are seeing packages with tracking that didn't have any updates for a week suddenly get delivered the next day.
Updated production time frames
At this time, we are seeing longer production times for certain products with our manufacturers due to increased order volumes and manufacturers following safety protocols in their respective locations.
Below is a snapshot of the overall current production times for a number of our products. Many orders will ship faster than these times and some will ship slower, but these are the ranges we’ve seen. Data is based on the last 14-day average production times and forecasts from our manufacturers.

*Note on business days: Production days include all business days, excluding national holidays. The production cycle for an order begins the day after Gooten submits the order to the vendor, not when the order is created by the store owner. Therefore, day one of production typically begins the first business day after a store owner creates an order.
**Note on t-shirts: the high end of apparel turnaround times are mostly isolated to Tultex, Hanes, and District
For promotional and sale priced items, and non-domestic inventory please allow 2-5 weeks. Some shipping times may be a lot quicker, IE: 5-10 days and will be listed in the item description, so look on the item page.
This is an estimated time. We strive to make delivery times as quick as possible.
Transit times are based on the destination postal code, and are calculated by our site based on the information you provide.
Please note that this is an estimated time frame and times might be longer during holidays or in extreme circumstances (like the fires in California delaying mail).
The safety and well being of our customers is of top priority to us, we wanted to provide ACCURATE information that regards your health safety.

If you are extra precautious we don't blame you. The first assesments coming out about how long the virus could last on surfaces was 5 days. If you want to be extra careful simply pick up the box using rubber gloves or hot pads and move it to a location where no one will touch it for 5 days (or however long you want) and make sure you throw away those gloves or wash those hot pads in hot water and dry them on the hot setting in your dryer to kill any germs.
Below are days that the warehouse is not open which means orders will NOT be sent on the following days:

We will provide you with the tracking information via email once the order has been shipped
Customers are responsible for tracking their parcel and alerting our staff to any delivery issues. Failure to do so in a timely manner could result in the parcel being returned to us and subject to a return or restock fee.
If there is an issue with the parcel delivery (lost in transit, marked as delivered but not recieved, etc.) please let us know, and you or we can open a claim with the shipper (Post/ USPS/ UPS when possible. We will follow the protocol and policies set by the shipping company and will not be able to process refund until the claim process is successfully completed.
